Ink and Inspiration Blog Hop - Clean and Simple (August 2021)

We are a group of Stampin' Up Demonstrators from around the world and our goal is to inspire folks to share their special talents to make and send cards to family and friends.

This month our theme is "Clean and Simple". I decided to make a simple pocket card that you can use to write a special note or include a gift card.  I used the Hand-Penned Designer Series paper and the sentiment from the Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set, Highland Heather cardstock, White Crinkled Ribbon, and Highland Heather Pearls to make my card.

To make this card:
  • Cut a 4.0" x 10.5" piece of Hand-Penned Petal Designer Series Paper and score at 1.5" and 5.5". Use a bone folder to make crisp folds on each score line.
  • Pay attention to the pattern on the designer series paper so the design is in the correct position when making the pocket for the card.
  • Fold the designer series paper in half on the 5.5" score line and fold the paper back at the 1.5" score line. This allows you to see the design on the other side of the paper.
  • Place the White Crinkled Ribbon behind the 1.5" flap and tie a bow on the top. After the ribbon and bow are in the correct position, glue the 1.5" flap down to the card front.
  • Cut a 3.75" x 5.0" piece of Highland Heather cardstock.
  • Cut a 3.5" x 4.75" piece of Basic White cardstock.
  • Stamp the "Happy Birthday" from the Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set on top of the Basic White using Gorgeous Grape ink.
  • Attach 1 Highland Heather pearl on each side of the sentiment.
  • Attach a gift card in the center of the stamped Basic White cardstock (optional).
  • Attach a 1.5" x 3.5" piece of designer series paper to the bottom of the stamped Basic White cardstock using your favorite adhesive.
  • Attach the stamped Basic White cardstock to the Highland Heather cardstock using your favorite adhesive. This piece goes into the pocket of the card.

Casually Crafting Design Team Blog Hopn-August 2021

The Casually Crafting Design Team is a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world, gathered together to share our passion for creativity with you. Our focus is to bring you inspiration featuring projects that are easy to create while still packing a powerful creative punch. The projects are made with a few products, making them ideally suited to a beginner or casual crafter. From time-to-time, we may also include a project that is stepped-up for the added wow-factor.

This month our team will be creating cards inspired by a Color Challenge. We'll be using Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight, and Polished Pink. As you're looking at each card, see how the designer used the different colors to create their card.

I bought this stamp set and punch because I love tulips. I'll never forget the fields of colorful tulips for we saw for miles and miles when we took a trip to Holland in May many years ago. It's an image I will never forget!

I made this card stamping three large tulips using the Daffodil Delight and Polished Pink onto matching cardstock. I really like the detail you get from the stamped images. Then I stamped out leaves using Pear Pizzazz ink onto the same colored cardstock. I stamped a few long stems onto a piece of Basic White cardstock using Pear Pizzazz ink. Then I used the Tulip Builder Punch to cut out the tulip flowers and leaves. I stamped the "get well soon" sentiment from the Timeless Tulip Stamp set using Basic Black ink and attached a bow made out of Polished Pink Ribbon.

Creativity Abounds Design Team Blog Hop - August 2021

This is our amazing Creativity Abounds Design Team! We're a group of Stampin' Up Demonstrators from around the world and each month we select products to create cards or projects with the goal of inspiring you.

This month we're showcasing any Non-Holiday products from the July-December Mini Catalog. I love the Fall with different colored leaves so the Intricate Leaves Dies is the perfect set to use for this Blog Hop. I know I'll be using this set many times in the next few months making Halloween and Thanksgiving cards!

I used Evening Evergreen cardstock for the card base and trim along the sentiment. I added texture to the Sahara Sand background using the Bark embossing folder. I used the Intricate Leaves Dies to cut out a variety of leaves using different colored cardstock - Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, and Cajun Craze. The branches were cut with Early Expresso cardstock. The sentiment "Forever Grateful" is from the Forever Grapevine Stamp set.

I added a few smaller leaves to a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock for the inside of the card.

Monthly Blog Hop - August 2021

Welcome to our August Blog Hop! We're a group of Stampin' Up Demonstrators from around the world who design cards to inspire others. Each month we select a different stamp set to design Thank You cards for our valuable customers and team members.

I love stamp sets with flowers but I typically only buy the ones that have die sets to cut out the images. I have a hard time fussy cutting very detailed images.  I was attracted to the Shaded Summer Stamp set found in the Annual Catalog on page 75, but didn't purchase it because there were no dies.  When I saw the matching Summer Shadows Dies as a Free reward in the Sale-A-Bration booklet on page 13, I knew I had to get it!

I wanted to showcase the two flower images! So to make my gate cards, I used the smaller image to stamp the the inside and outside of the flaps. I used the same color of ink and cardstock for the card bases. I featured the large flower image by stamping it onto Very Vanilla cardstock and cutting it out with the die. I included the "Thank You" sentiment from the stamp set to the card fronts. I embellished the cards with match ribbon! Here is the first card I made with Fresh Freesia cardstock and ink.

Here is the same card using Polished Pink cardstock and ink.

Many of my customers have already placed an order with me this month so they will all be receiving one of these Thank You cards from me in the next week. I hope I have inspired you to purchase the Shaded Summer Stamp set and  Summer Shadows Dies.

If you place an order with me in August, I'll be sending you one of these Thank You cards.  If you place a $50 or more order and use my August Host Code, CNZ93S2Z, you'll also receive a  FREE Creativity Abounds Tutorial Bundle from the new July-December Catalog and includes non-Holiday Bundles OR you can purchase it for $15 by emailing me at ses@aquarius.family

Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop

This month we're making cards using products from the Sale-A-Bration Booklet! We're hoping our cards will inspire you to start thinking about all the cards you can create with some of the Free Sale-A-Bration rewards. The Sale-A-Bration booklet is full of wonderful rewards you can earn with every $50 or $100 purchase.

I've fallen in love with the Penguin Place Bundle from the new July-December Mini Catalog and the Penguin Playmates 12 x 12 Designer Series paper is so adorable that I couldn't resist selecting it as one of my Sale-A-Bration rewards.

I learned how to make a Curvy Pop Up Card watching a video by Lisa Curcio. I made a Holiday version of this fun fold design. It's much easier than it looks. I used Misty Moonlight for the card base, I fancy cut the images of the penguin, polar bear, snowman, fox, and bird out of the Penguin Playmates Designer Series paper.

To make this card,

Card Base:

  • Cut out a piece of 4.25" x 5.5" piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock and score it at 2.75". Use your bone folder on the score line to make a crisp fold.
  • Cut out two 4.0" x 2.5" piece of Penguin Playmates Designer Series paper and attach them to the card base using your favorite adhesive
  • Attach the bird on the top left-hand side of the card base using dimensionals.

Middle Layer
  • Cut out a piece of 2.0" x 4.5" piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock and score it at 0.5", 2.25", and 4.0"
  • Attach the snowman and the polar bear to the two panels using dimensionals.
  • Line up the center of this layer with the center of the card base at the bottom and attach the tabs on each end using your favorite adhesive (see photo below).

Front Layer
  • Cut out a 1.25" x 6.5" piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock and score it at 0.5" on each end.
  • Cut out a 1.0" x 5.25" piece of Penguin Playmates Designer Series paper
  • Attach a strip of Misty Moonlight Ribbon to the center of the Penguin Playmates Designer Series paper and secure in the back. Tie a small knot onto the Misty Moonlight Ribbon.
  • Attach the front layer to the bottom of the card base at the tabs on each end using your favorite adhesive (see photo below).
  • Attach the Penguin and Fox to the front layer using dimensionals.

Now you may be wondering how to mail this card...just flatten the middle and front layers and the card will side perfectly into a regular A2 envelope.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog - Sea Ranch Creations! Please take time to look at all the other amazing Sale-A-Bration cards designed by other demonstrators. I know you will find some incredible card designs.

Happy Stamping!
