Halloween Hinge Card Using "Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper"

Click on the photo to see the Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper

How To Make This Card:

  • Cut out a  4.25" x 5.5" piece of Basic Black cardstock. This is your card base panel.
  • Cut out a 3.75" x 11.0" piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock scored at 5.5". Use your bone folder to make a crisp fold along the score line
  • Attach the scored edge of the Pumpkin Pie cardstock to the top of the Basic Black card base panel using your favorite adhesive.  The Pumpkin Pie cardstock is the hinge portion of the card that will allow it to stand up.
  • Cut out a 3.5" x 5.25" piece of Cute Halloween Designer Series paper with ghosts, skulls, and bats.
  • Attach the Cute Halloween Designer Series paper to the front of the Pumpkin Pie cardstock.
  • Cut out the shape of a coffin using Basic Black cardstock.
  • Emboss the Basic Black coffin using your favorite embossing folder. I used a retired product called Stylist Scroll Embossing Folder for my card.
  • Attach the coffin to the Cute Halloween Designer Series paper using dimensionals.
  • Stamp the "Have A Spooktacular Halloween" onto Pumpkin Pie cardstock using Basic Black ink.
  • Punch out the sentiment with the Label Me Fancy Punch
  • Attach the sentiment to the coffin using dimensionals.
  • Cut out three large skulls from the Cute Halloween Designer Series paper and attach them to the coffin using dimensionals.

I hope you've enjoyed my card!

If you place a $50 or more ORDER with me from the Annual Catalog or July-December Mini Catalog using Host Code D6KUZEEB, you'll receive a handmade thank you card and the Creativity Abounds Holiday Tutorial Bundle as my gifts to you! Creativity Abounds Design Team Blog Hop - October 2021

We're a group of Stampin' Up Demonstrators from around the world and each month we select products to create cards or projects with the goal of inspiring you.

Here is our incredible team of demonstrators. I'm so honored to be working with this group of talented crafters!

When I first saw the Frosted Gingerbread Bundle, it reminded me of many wonderful winter holidays spent at my Aunt and Uncles house in upstate New York. They lived next to a golf course and as soon as the snow accumulated all the locals were allowed to go tobogganing. We were all dressed in multiple layers of clothing and my mom always tied my mittens together with a ribbon so I wouldn't lose them. My older cousins would pull the two toboggans to the top hole of the golf course, we would all pile onto the toboggans, and go sledding about a mile to the fence at the bottom of the course. Then the process would start all over again until we were too cold to continue. Of course, we'd head back to the house to have treats and hot chocolate. Such awesome memories!

So I decided to use the Gingerbread & Peppermints Designer Series paper to make this card, by cutting out the images of the mittens and adding Real Red Ribbon. I love Stampin' Up! paper packs because they are all color coordinated and you can hand cut or use dies to cut out some of the images.

Casually Crafting Design Team Blog Hop - October 2021

The Casually Crafting Design Team is a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world, gathered together to share our passion for creativity with you. Our focus is to bring you inspiration featuring projects that are easy to create while still packing a powerful creative punch. The projects are made with a few products, making them ideally suited to a beginner or casual crafter. From time-to-time, we may also include a project that is stepped-up for the added wow-factor.

This month our team will be creating cards inspired by a Sketch Challenge. We'll be using the design shown below. As you're looking at each card, see how the designer used the different different elements of the sketch to create their card.

I've enjoyed playing with the Gingerbread and Peppermint Designer Series paper.  The variety of prints are awesome for making holiday cards but I especially like all the images that you can cut out to accent your cards.

To make this card:

  • Use Old Olive for the base card, and Real Red cardstock for the first layer.
  • Select the dotted pattern from the Gingerbread and Peppermint Designer Series paper for the second layer.
  • Add a strip of designer series paper for the center of the card
  • Tie a bow out of Real Red Ribbon and attached to the top if the card using a glue dot.
  • Cut out two of the Cinnamon Cider Stars and two of the circular peppermints.
  • Add a red rhinestone to the center of each peppermint.
  • Stamp the "Season's Greetings" sentiment in Real Red ink and attach to the card front using dimensional.

Thank you for visiting my blog - Sea Ranch Creations today! Please make sure you view the other amazing cards on this blog hop.
