Welcome to Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop! We are a very enthusiastic bunch of Stampin' Up Demonstrators from around the world who love to share what we do. This month we're creating cards and projects to celebrate Graduates and others who have completed significant accomplishments this year.
When I think of young people graduating from high schools, trade schools, and universities, I think about all the possibilities and adventures that lay ahead in their lives. The world is their playground and the possibilities are endless.
To celebrate Graduates, I selected the Beautiful World Stamp Set and World Map Dies to make this card. I hope you like it...
Measurements
Card Base – Misty Moonlight: 5.5” x 8.5”, scored at 4.25”
Layer 1 – Bumblebee: 3.25” x 4.0”
Layer 2 –
o Misty Moonlight: 3.25” x 4.25”
o World of Good DSP: 3.0” x 4.0”
Globe –
o
Misty Moonlight: scraps for globe and stand
o
Gold Foil – scrap to cut out disk behind globe
Sentiment – Bumblebee: 1.0” x 2.75”
Inside the Card – Cinnamon Cider: 4.0” x 5.25”
To make this card:
1. Cut all the cardstock using the appropriate measurements above.
2. Fold the Misty Moonlight cardstock in half and make a crisp fold with the bone folder. Put the card base in a horizontal orientation and cut 2.0” off the right-hand side of the front of the cardstock. This is your card base.
3. Use
the Old World Paper Embossing Folder and the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine to
emboss the Bumblebee cardstock.
4. Attach
the Embossed Bumblebee cardstock (Layer 1) to the front panel of the card using
your favorite adhesive.
5. Attach
the World of Good DSP to the Misty Moonlight cardstock (Layer 2) using your
favorite adhesive.
6. Attach
the Misty Moonlight cardstock (Layer 2) to the embossed Bumblebee cardstock
(Layer 1) in a horizontal orientation so it goes over the front of the card
using your favorite adhesive. NOTE: Only add adhesive to the left-hand side of
the Misty Moonlight cardstock.
7. Use
the World Map Dies and the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine to cut out the globe
and stand using Misty Moonlight cardstock and the disk using Gold Foil.
8. Attach
the Misty Moonlight globe to the Gold Foil disk using just a little glue.
9. Position
the globe into the Misty Moonlight stand.
10. Attach
the Misty Moonlight stand and globe to the front of the card using glue.
11. Stamp
the “Life’s A Beautiful Journey” sentiment from the Beautiful World Stamp set onto
Bumblebee cardstock using Misty Moonlight ink.
12. Use
the smallest Stitched Rectangle Dies and the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine to
cut out the sentiment.
13. Attach
the sentiment to the front of the card using dimensionals.
