Monthly Blog Hop - May 2021

Welcome to the Demonstrator Training Program May Blog Hop. We're a group of Stampin' Up Demonstrators from around the world who get together each month to celebrate our customers and to showcase our Thank You card for the month. I'm very excited about this month's Thank You card as it is very different from my typical style. I fell in love with the Spiral Dye Stamp Set and decided to feature it for this Blog Hop. The Spiral Dye Stamp Set is perfect for making any Tie Dye Design!

I  used the new Ombre Gift Bags (see photo below) which go from light to dark in the same hue. I cut the front side of the bags to make a 4.0" x 5.25" piece of cardstock for the card. This paper is much thinner than our regular cardstock so you need to use tape, glue dots or dimensionals to attach it to a card base. If you use glue it leaves marks behind the paper and is not the look you want.

This card went together very easily....

  • Cut a piece of cardstock at 4.25" x 11.0" and score at 5.5" for your card base. The samples are made from Polished Pink and Fresh Freesia.
  • Cut a 4.0" x 5.25" of paper from the Ombre Gift Bags.
  • Use the Spiral Dye Stamp and VersaMark ink to stamp the Ombre Gift Bag paper.
  • Add White Embossing Powder all over the the stamped area.
  • Tap off the excess powder.
  • Use your heat embossing tool to heat the White Embossing Powder.
  • Attach the embossed paper to the front of the card base using dimensionals.
  • Stamp "Thank You For Everything" sentiment from the Color & Contour Stamp Set onto Basic White cardstock using Polished Pink or Fresh Freesia ink.
  • Use the Layering Circles Dies and the Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine to cut out the sentiment using a scalloped circle out of Basic White cardstock.
  • Attach the sentiment to the lower left-hand side of the card.
  • Tie a bow out of either Polished Pink or Fresh Freesia Ribbon and attach with a glue dot.
  • Add a strip of the Ombre Gift Bag paper to a piece of 4.0" x 5.25" Basic White cardstock using your favorite adhesive.
  • Attach the Basic White cardstock to the inside of your card.
