Saturday Scraps with Susan (July 4, 2020)

Happy 4th of July! I made this card as a special thank you to all the amazing people in our military, our health care professionals, firer fighters, and emergency response teams who take care of all of us everyday! Please join me today to say a special thank you to these heroes.

I used scraps and the new Stitched Triangles Dies to cut out eight isosceles triangles (4 out of Real Red and 4 out of Night of Navy). I really like the stitched look around each triangle piece. I attached the triangles onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut to 3.5" x 3.5" and leave a border around the each side. In the center of the triangles I cut out two stars from  Whisper White cardstock using the new Stitched Stars Dies. I placed the Whisper White cardstock onto a piece of Real Red cardstock cut at 3.75" x 3.75". Finally, I attached the Real Red cardstock onto a Night of Navy cardstock cut at 4.0" x 4.0" and attached that to a Whisper White base card cut at 4.25" x 11.0" and scored at 5.5". I stamped the sentiment from the Ornate Thanks stamp set using Real Red ink. I added three blue starts to finish the card.
