Autumn Mega Tutorial Bundle

A few months ago I created a card for the Autumn Tutorial Bundle. The bundle was created by 82 demonstrators from across the world and contains 82 different card designs with pictures and instructions. You can only get the Autumn Tutorial Bundle from someone who created one of the cards. A portion of my card is displayed as the last card on the right on the top row in the image below.

So how can you get the Autumn Tutorial Bundle?

If you order $50 or more during the month of November and use the Host Code CZBUWTCC when you check out, I will email you the Autumn Tutorial Bundle as a Thank You Gift.

If you don’t want to order anything, you can order the Autumn Tutorial Bundle for $21 – just email me at ses@aquarius.family, pay the fee, and I’ll send you the 4 pdf files needed to make all 82 cards.

Happy Stamping!

Monthly Blog Hop (October 2020)

Welcome to the October Blog Hop!

Last month I started a Monthly Mystery Card session with my customers.  I provided them with a list of card requirements and specific measurements that they need to use to make 4 different cards. Everyone used whatever cardstock, designer series paper, inks, and stamp sets. We shared our cards on-line via a zoom call.  We were all amazed that even with the exact paper measurements and requirements we made such different cards. Each month one person we will draw one person's name and they will  receive a gift package with Stampin' Up products. Please let me know if you want to join us by emailing me at ses@aquarius.family.

Here is one of the cards I made using basic cardstock and the Positive Thoughts stamp set:

Since some folks asked about the other cards I made for the monthly Mystery Card, I decided to post the other three cards below.  All four cards were made with the same paper measurements and the Positive Thoughts stamp set. You can use plain cardstock, embossed cardstock, stamped cardstock, and/or designer series paper.

Thank you for visiting my blog today. You are currently on my page - Susan Schultz, Sea Ranch Creations, USA and I would really appreciate it if you could leave a comment below. Please take time to see all the other wonderful projects created for this international blog hop by going to the next person on the list.

Saturday Scraps with Susan (September 26, 2020)

This week I've been designing Fall and Thanksgiving cards using the Gilded Autumn designer series paper and the Forever Ferns bundle and the Gather Together stamp set. I cut scraps of the Gilded Autumn designer series paper and Mint Macaron cardstock on an angle to make the background for this card.

To make the rest of this card:

  • I attached the strips to a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and then adhered that to a mat made with a piece of Cajun Craze cardstock.
  • I stamped the "Season of Thanks" sentiment from the Gather Together stamp set onto a strip of Very Vanilla cardstock using Cajun Craze ink.
  • I selected two leave stamps from the Forever Ferns stamp set and stamped them into a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock using Cajun Craze ink and Mint Macaron ink.
  • I cut out the leaves using the Forever Flourishing dies and attached them to a piece of Early Expresso cardstock cut out with the Everyday Label punch.
  • I attached the center piece to the strip of Very Vanilla cardstock using dimensionals.
  • Finally, I added a bow made out of Mint Macaron ribbon
I hope you like the card. If you wish to purchase any supplies, I hope you will use my on-line store as I truly appreciate your business.

Monthly Mystery Cards (October 1, 2020)

Hello Card Making Friends,

I've been trying to organize my craft room and I'm amazed by the amount of stuff I have accumulated since the last time I cleaned my space which was about 6 months ago! Does that happen to you?  I have a huge number of new (unused) retired stamp sets, dies, punches, ribbons, and other embellishments.

I can't believe how much designer series paper I have accumulated in the past 6 months! With every new Stampin' Up catalog, I fall in love with the new designer series papers and I just keep adding to my collection. Now, I am truly overflowing with designer series paper.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who has stacks of beautiful papers. If you want to start using some of of your papers and other products, then this new monthly mystery card class is perfect for you!

Each month, I will design a new card sketch and I will email you a list of card requirements including the paper measurements to use to make the cards. You will use the paper measurements and other materials (papers, stamp sets, ink, dies, punches, embossing folders, and embellishments) that you already own to create at least 4 different cards. Then on the first Thursday of every month we will get together through a zoom call and share our creations with one another. So it's like a card swap without all the hassle of making multiple cards and mailing! After we all share our card designs, I'll show you the sketch I created.

The goal for the class is to get your creative juices flowing, sharing card designs with each other, to use up some of your paper stash, and most importantly to send these cards to family and friends to brighten their day.

The cost for each class will be $10. Each month I will draw the name of one person from the class and mail them a gift package that includes a new and/or unused retired stamp sets, designer series paper, and embellishments (worth at least a $50 value).

Our first monthly mystery card session will begin on Thursday, October 1st from 6pm to 8pm. If you would like to join us please RSVP and pay the $10 class fee by Tuesday, September 29th. You can pay by PayPal (ses@aquarius.family) or Venmo (SeaRanchCreations) or mail me a check.

I hope you will be able to join our group on Thursday, October 1st from 6pm to 8pm. Please email me at ses@aquarius.family OR write a comment below.

Monthly Blog Hop (September 2020)

Welcome to the September Blog Hop!

This is my Birthday Month! I'm so excited to be doing my first live virtual card making class tomorrow evening!

I have really missed making cards with my friends. Normally we have an in-person card class once a month and my customers have truly become close friends. Before coronavirus, each month they picked the theme, I designed the cards and prepared card kits. We would meet at a local restaurant, make cards, catch up on everyone's news, and then have dinner together. So with Kylie's help I have learned to adapt to the current situation and hopefully my on-line class will be a success. Please wish me luck!

To kick start my on-line card classes I developed a new template. You can make 4 cards with one 6 x 6 paper. I had a great time figuring out the dimensions and then designing the cards with a birthday theme. The cards were easy to design using the Flowers For Every Season designer series paper, the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle, Greenery Embossing Folder, and 2020-2022 In Color cardstock.

So here is one of the cards:

Let me know via email (ses@aquarius.family) if you are interested in purchasing the template and pdf instructions with photos for making the 4 Birthday cards for $15.

Monthly Team Blog Hop (August 2020)

Welcome to the August Blog Hop!

My husband and I usually mail out 100 handmade Holiday cards every year with a letter and photo collage of our annual activities inside the card. I love making my own cards, but after making about 20 of any design I get bored and need to create a new card design.  My goal this year is to make at least 5 to 6 designs ahead of time instead of  designing and making all the cards between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Each month, I will use a different Stampin' Up! bundle to create a set of holiday cards to be mailed to family and friends. Which Stampin' Up! Bundle should I use next? Please let me know in the comments section below.

Last month, I shared my first Holiday card design in the July Monthly Team Blog Hop using the Poinsettia Petals Bundle and the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper (click here).

Many people on our Holiday list just love observing animals and being out in the woods to enjoy nature. I designed this Holiday card especially for them using the Merry Moose Bundle and Poinsettia Place designer series paper. I just love the scarf stamp that is included in the bundle!

I'm preparing card kits and tutorials for the Poinsettia Petal Bundle and the Merry Moose Bundle.  Each card kit consists of all the materials for making 4 cards and step by step pdf instructions for making the cards as well as an interactive on-line zoom call for us to all make cards together. If you already have the materials and bundle, you can order just the tutorial. If you're interested in more information please email me at ses@aquarius.family

I've been having an awesome time playing with some of the new holiday bundles, stamp sets, dies, and designer series paper from the new Stampin' Up! August to December 2020 Mini Catalog. If you want a new catalog, live in the USA, and don't already have a demonstrator just contact me at ses@aquarius.family and I'll mail it out to you.

Saturday Scraps with Susan (July 18, 2020)

This week's scrap card features the Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set and Shaded Spruce ink

The trick to making this card is to space all the Very Vanilla cardstock scraps in order (smallest to largest) before stamping the poinsettia image in Shaded Spruce ink. Before assembling the card, place a Shaded Spruce cardstock border behind each Very Vanilla cardstock piece. Then stamp a sentiment in the center of the card. I stamped "Happy Holidays" from the Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set in Shaded Spruce cardstock and add a few Gold Glitter Enamel Dots as an accent for the card. I also colored in the berries on each poinsettia using the Bumble Bee marker.

Paper sizes to make this card
  • Card base cut at 5.5" x 8.5" scored at 4.25". I used Very Vanilla cardstock.
  • Other card dimensions
    • Shaded Spruce cardstock
      • One 5.25" x 4.0" piece
      • One 4.25" x 3.0" piece
      • One 3.25" x 2.0" piece
    • Very Vanilla cardstock
      • One 5.0" x 3.75" piece
      • One 4.0" x 2.75" piece
      • One 3.0" x 1.75" piece
