Ink & Inspiration Design Team Blog Hop - Pick A Season

 

We are a group of Stampin' Up Demonstrators from around the world and our goal is to inspire folks to share their special talents to make and send cards to family and friends.

This month our theme is "Pick A Season". I love the Fall Season! It brings so many wonderful memories of beautiful leaves, ranking them up into huge piles, and then jumping into them. I remember laughing and taking leaves out of my hair.

To focus on multiple colors of leaves I used the Intricate Leaves Dies for this Blog Hop. I know I'll be using this set many times in the next few months making Halloween and Thanksgiving cards!

I used Evening Evergreen cardstock for the card base and trim along the sentiment. I added texture to the Sahara Sand background using the Bark embossing folder. I used the Intricate Leaves Dies to cut out a variety of leaves using different colored cardstock - Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, and Cajun Craze. The branches were cut with Early Expresso cardstock. The sentiment "Forever Grateful" is from the Forever Grapevine Stamp set.

Creativity Abounds Design Team Blog Hop - September 2021

This is our amazing Creativity Abounds Design Team! We're a group of Stampin' Up Demonstrators from around the world and each month we select products to create cards or projects with the goal of inspiring you.

On September 17 and 18th, our Design Team is offering a Stamp Camp featuring the Whimsy & Wonder Suite from the July-December Mini Catalog. The suite includes the Whimsical Tree Bundle, Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series paper, the iridescent snowflake dies, and the Blushing Bride Frayed Ribbon.

 

Each team member has created a card using the Whimsy & Wonder Suite and will provide pdf as well as video tutorials on how to make the cards. We are also providing 13 bonus projects using materials from the suite.  How do you participate? Just purchase the Whimsy & Wonder suite from one of us and we'll give you access to the FB group where you can see all the tutorials and bonus projects. Please email me at ses@aquarius.family if you'd like to get the 13 card kits. OR you can purchase the 13 card Tutorials without card kits for $15.

Today I'm sharing my bonus project. I love a warm cup of tea and some special treats. So I decided to make a paper mug using the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series paper. 

I used the opposite side of the designer series paper to make the handle and attached it to the side of the mug using tear and tape.

I collected ten individually wrapped York Peppermint Patties, put them into a clear cello paper, and added a bow made out of the Blushing Bride Frayed Ribbon to give as a hostess gift.  You could add any type of candy, tea bags, hot chocolate packs, or coffee packs inside the mug. Just think of all the possibilities as small gifts for your friends!

Monthly Blog Hop - September 2021

 

Welcome to our September Blog Hop! We're a group of Stampin' Up Demonstrators from around the world who design cards to inspire others. Each month we select a different stamp set to design Thank You cards for our valuable customers and team members. 

When I saw the Art In Bloom Bundle in the Annual Catalog, I knew this was a bundle I had to have. In addition to a beautiful stamp set with accompanying dies, this bundle also includes an embossing folder.

I'm loving the combination of Polished Pink and Just Jade so those were the colors I featured in my card.  I embossed a piece of Basic White cardstock and then used sponge daubers to color the flowers using Polished Pink. Then I used my new Bending Brushes to lightly color the rest of the background using Just Jade ink. I stamped off the brushes each time I used it to get a very soft shade of green. I stamped a "Thank You" sentiment from the Sweet Ice Cream Stamp set using Polished Pink ink onto an embossed piece of the background.  

I made a modified gate card and attached the two cardstock pieces to the front of each flap. To finish the card, I tied a bow using Polished Pink Ribbon so the person opening the card will feel like they are opening a gift.

FREE One Sheet Wonder Card Class -September 7th

I'll share a template to turn a 6 x 6 piece of Designer Series Paper and complementary colored cardstock into 6 awesome cards. I'll demonstrate using the template to cut the 6 x 6 paper and show the six cards I've created.
