The Casually Crafting Design Team is a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world, gathered together to share our passion for creativity with you. Our focus is to bring you inspiration featuring projects that are easy to create while still packing a powerful creative punch. The projects are made with a few products, making them ideally suited to a beginner or casual crafter. From time-to-time, we may also include a project that is stepped-up for the added wow-factor.
This month we are all designing cards based on a Color Challenge featuring Basic Black, Basic Grey, and Basic White. My card features the Peaceful Place Designer Series paper, Christmas To Remember Stamp Set, and cardstock (Basic Black and Basic White).
To Make This Card
- Make A Gate Card Base by cutting a 4.25" x 11.0" piece of Basic Black cardstock and scoring each end at 2.75". Use your bone folder to make a crisp fold on the score lines.
- Cut out two 2.5" x 4.0" of Peaceful Place Designer Series paper. This paper has Silver Foil embedded in the design of the snowflakes. My photo does not highlight the true beauty of this paper.
- Attach the two pieces of Peaceful Place Designer Series paper to the flaps of the gate card using your favorite adhesive.
- Cut out a 3.5" x 3.5" piece of Basic Black cardstock.
- Cut out a 3.25" x 3.25" pieces of Peaceful Place Designer Series paper that has the trees that are embossed with Silver Foil.
- Stamp the "Season's Greetings" sentiment from the Christmas To Remember Stamp Set using Basic Black ink.
- Attach the designer series paper to the Basic Black cardstock using your favorite adhesive.
- Attach the left-hand side of the Basic Black cardstock to the left-hand flap using dimensionals. NOTE: Only place the dimensionals on the left-hand side because you want the card to open.
- Add a few rhinestones to the front of the card.
Inside the Card:
- Cut out a 4.0" x 5.25" piece of Basic White cardstock.
- Cut out a 1.0" x 4.0" of Peaceful Place Designer Series paper.
- Attach the designer series paper to the left-hand side of the Basic White cardstock.
- Stamp the "Love & Joy Come To You And May It Last The Whole Year Through" sentiment from the Christmas To Remember Stamp Set using Basic Black ink.
- Attach the Basic White cardstock to the inside of the card using your favorite adhesive.
